The 14 Show Place upgrade involved a major concurrent upgrade of structure, fire and services and integrated fit out with the 700 staff member tenant in-situ and as-builts that were both incomplete and wrong with an extremely tight, staged construction programme including stripping, refurbishing and commissioning an 1,100 sqm office floor every 6-7 weeks.
It was New Zealand’s first and highest whole building NABERSNZ rating
Effective communication resulted in the project being delivered on time and in budget, whilst exceeding performance requirements (5.5 Star NABERSNZ rating when a 4 Star was required) at no additional cost.
Every part of this project had high elements of risk: timing, staging, plant delivery, design, health and safety, modelling results, funding, etc. The leadership and commitment shown by the TMCo team was what made this such a success.
TMCo negotiated a $300,000 CapEx grant for this project.
